Sukhi Moong Ki Dal
Ingredients
- 225g Dal Moong
- 1 teaspoon Tumeric Powder
- ½ teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
- 570ml Water
- 1 tablespoon chopped Onion
- 50g Ghee or Butter
- Salt to taste
Method
- Wash the dal just before cooking.
- Boil the water and then add the dal to it.
- Cook it over a medium heat in a covered pan.
- When the grains start to split add the dry spices.
- Cook it over a medium heat until the water and dal make a thick soup consistency.
- Fry onion in butter until golden brown and add to the cooked dal.
- Serve it hot with rice or chappaties.
